Employee health is just as important as productivity because your employees are your most valuable asset! You need to look after them! When your employees come to work feeling fit and healthy, their morale and productivity increase. They will look forward to coming to work and will focus better and achieve more.

Safety in the workplace starts with you. Being conscious of your posture and body position can reduce the stress placed on your body.

Ergonomic means being considerate of how you use your body. If this is done effectively, it will reduce the chance of an injury occurring and any current injuries may heal faster.

1. The most important aspect you need to consider is your posture. By maintaining a good posture when sitting and standing, you will reduce the stress on the muscles, ligaments, and joints.

2. Ergonomic equipment, such as backrests, etc., can be used to support your spine when sitting, and ensure that you are correctly positioned.

3. Footrests can be used to raise your feet and to help your back and neck.

4. Wrist rests and mouse pads can be used to support the wrist muscles and tendons, reducing overuse.

5. Stress balls can be used to relieve tension and work out knots in your shoulders, back, and neck.

6. Take time to regularly stretch your muscles, especially before and after work.

7. If you suffer from headaches, neck pain, or experience pain in the neck, shoulder, arm, hand, or fingers, it is important to seek professional help.

8. If your job isn't suitable for your body, it can cause a lot of pain. Speak to your employer. Be open and honest with them.

9. Ensure you discuss any concerns or problems with your manager or supervisor.

10. Ergonomic equipment is essential at your workplace for the health and safety of you and your employees.

11. If your job consists of lifting, bending, or standing for long periods, ensure you regularly stretch your muscles.

12. Take regular short breaks to relieve the stress on your muscles.

13. If you are a driver, ensure you take regular stops throughout your journey.

14. If you are required to lift loads then ensure you take regular breaks.

15. If you are required to carry or lift bricks, or move items, ensure you are wearing the correct equipment, such as correct clothing and gloves.
